Taylor Swift, the rarest pop phenomenon is a star who has managed to cross between the genres of country and mainstream pop culture and become an idol of the pop culture. She also conquered all over the world during the course of her journey. Swift removed herself from the country genre like a second skin and showed that she had the best pop sensibility of her generation. Swift was the only artist/singer who could take the popular zeitgeist on the road. These skills were evident on her early hits including the neo-tribute Tim McGraw but her second album, 2008's Fearless showed a writer discovering who she was and, in doing so, gaining a mass audience. Fearless was successful not only in the United States, having six platinum-certified singles. In fact, the Top Ten songs Love Story and I Belong with Me were the most important reasons. However, it did very well across the globe. Speak Now delivered almost two years later and consolidated this success and moved Swift towards the top of stardom. She grew in popularity throughout her subsequent three albums: Red (2012), 1989 (2014) and Reputation (2017). Swift became a household name within the genre she was a part of. The popularity of her music grew after she reformulated her approach in 2020's more streamlined siblings the folk singer (and Evermore) and stayed atop of the pop world.
