Kelly Clarkson was an American artist and songwriter who was the sweetheart of America after she was crowned American Idol in the first season. The win was more than hugely successful and a huge success, it also earned the singer a contract to record several albums with RCA Records 19 Recordings & S Records. From her first appearance in the series, she has released a number of albums. Of those albums three reached number one on the US Billboard 200. The other albums were also close to the top spot. Her name is one of the top artists to have emerged from American Idol. As her career progressed it was evident that she experimented in new styles and themes of music. Sometimes, she co-wrote songs to express her feelings. As a result of her distinctiveness and talent as a singer, she was praised by reviewers and was awarded a couple of important prizes. She has also received the Grammy Award a record three times. Her music career is not the only thing she does. Her appearances in TV and movies. She also wrote the children's storybook River Rose and the Magical Lullaby and has been involved in a variety of charitable organisations.
