Arianna Stassinopoulos Huffington, a Greek American businesswoman and syndicated journalist is an author. She is a founder of The Huffington Post and the chief executive officer of Thrive Global. Author of over 15 books. Arianna Huffington, an independent liberal news outlet has a TV personality author, author and philanthropist. She moved to Greece to England at the age of 16 and earned an MA from Cambridge University in Economics. When she was 21, she became the president of the renowned debating society The Cambridge Union' and was the first foreign born student who was elected to this position. A conservative syndicated blogger when she graduated, she became the voice of Huffington Post. It was her celebrity that has led to the attraction of many prominent contributors to share their opinions on the news, politics and culture. Arianna gained notoriety after she was elected as an independent candidate in the California recall elections in order to replace Governor Davis. Aside from that, Arianna also spearheaded the Detroit initiative to promote fuel-efficient automobiles. Forbes placed her at 12 on its top 10 list of Most Influential Media Women. Guardian also included the Huffington Post on their top 100 list in the year 2010. AOL Inc. bought The Huffington Post in 2011 and appointed her as president of the media group, which also included additional AOL products like Engadget AOL Music Style list as well as Patch Media. Elli has two siblings, Konstantinos Stasinopoulos as well as Elli and Konstantinos Stasinopoulos, who both are journalists and consultants in management.
