Kari Wuhrer was born the 28th of April in 1967. She is an American performer and singer. She made her acting debut when she was in her teens. She was best known as Maggie Beckett from the TV show Sliders and also for playing the character of Sheriff Samantha Parker on the horror film Eight Legged Freaks. She has three sisters and brothers. She began singing in clubs as a teenager, and often would leave her home to perform. After attending the Wooster school at the age of 13 She began her studies in acting. After that, she studied at the Tisch School of the Arts at New York University, Marymount Manhattan College located at Columbia University and the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts in London, under the famous teacher Uta Hagen, Wuhrer studied. Born on April 28 the 28th of April, 1967 at Brookfield Connecticut. Her father is both a German American policeman as well as a salesperson for autos. Kari has 3 siblings. She sang in nightclubs as an teen, sneaking away from the house to sing. Kari started acting in the Wooster School aged 13 before going further to pursue a degree in drama at the New York University's Tisch School of the Arts, Columbia University Marymount Manhattan College and the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art under the famous Uta Hagen. Kari began acting at the age of a teenager. Her first breakthrough came in 1987 with MTV Remote Control.
